John John Jesse's Huge Hospital Bills

Hey everyone!
Many of you know me as an artist/painter and the other half remember me as the bass player for the NYC punk band Nausea.
As some of you know, months ago I was admitted into the hospital for 8 days for premature heart failure. It was soo awful and I had never fealt soo close to death before. I could not breath at all, I gained 35 pounds in water weight, had not slept or eaten in 4 weeks. I did make a good recovery there and I am very grateful to be feeling much better. I still have some bad days but I also have many more great days.
Being an artist I cannot afford health insurance. My work mostly covers my bills but I fall into that grey area as an artist (as many of you artists know) who won't qualify for medicaid.
Along with the bills, I have to get surgery on my left hand as I had lost most of my strength and mobility. It never ends, right? LOL.
I have a huge mountain of hospital bills that stands a high 10 inches high! Every day I look at that pile it causes me huge anxiety. I thought if maybe i took up enough painting commisions that I could cover most of it, but that was not the case.
I know our system in the USA is broken but we do have each other, so I am asking for any donations to assist with the bills. Anything helps and adds up. If you cannot that is fine too, maybe share my posting if you can.
