In loving memory of John Andrew Williamson (Sooty)

You might know him as John, Sooty or a different nickname, my dad had lots of names and he had a nickname for everybody else too.

He struggled with his health for many years mentally and physically but if you were lucky enough to know him you’d know he was hilarious, with the heart of a lion who loved his people hard ❤️

In his lifetime he was a Rasta and a Muslim and he always said he wanted to be buried the Muslim way, which we managed to do on the 12th May and he is laid to rest at Shiregreen Cemetry.

He also wanted a celebration of his life where his favourite Bob Marley Reggae music was playing and people came together to celebrate his life and legacy. So we are putting together a memorial to do that:

Friday June 07th - 6.30pm onwards

All his friends and family are invited.

If you are in a position to be able to and would like to make a contribution, this will go towards the costs of his burial, the memorial event and eventually we would like to get him a headstone for his grave.
