Jimmy's One-Handed Clarinet
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Jimmy. I'm 9 years old, and I live in Berkeley California. I love music and have been playing piano for about half my life. This past fall, I started playing the clarinet too. I love it, and want to play it for a very long time. There is just one problem... I was born with one hand, and so I can really only play about half the notes on the clarinet, maybe fewer. My family and I found out about an instrument maker in England who designed a clarinet for one-handed players like me. Here is a link to his website, where you can see all the other super cool instruments he has designed for one-handed players: http://www.peterworrell.co.uk/ Anyway, we have decided to get one of his clarinets so that I can continue on with my studies. My parents have paid for most of it, but I would like to raise some money to help pay for it too. I can't wait to hit the base notes, and with this specially-designed instrument, it won't be long before I can! Thanks very much for your interest and support, and please feel free to forward this to anyone you know who might be interested in helping me!
