This GoFundMe campaign has been organized by Brindille Co-Owner and Executive Chef, Carrie Nahabedian of Chicago, IL.
On March 16, 2020, we followed the government mandate to close our doors in response to the global health crisis surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Most of our employees are now out of work until the end of April, and likely longer. Hourly and tipped employees will be the hardest hit by this situation as they are primarily dependent on our doors being open.
The team at Brindille went into hospitality because we find great joy in taking care of our community — but now we humbly ask if you can help take care of us. We have established this GoFundMe for anyone who wishes to donate. All donations will go directly toward the expenses and needs of our team through this crisis (groceries, rent, etc.)
Funds will be distributed to all staff currently on the payroll as of March 15, 2020 and will be dispersed fairly based on their seniority and status of full time and part time. Some staff members are in dire need now and by moving the funds, we can get them a check from the account immediately. We will not be dispersing all funds totally until we re-open.
We are so thankful for the many people who have purchased gift certificates and shown their support of Brindille. Gift certificates are still available by phone at [teléfono editado] or by email at [email editado].
