Jesus Burgers #hurricaneharvey

When Hurricane Harvey hit Texas everyone was ready to pitch in and donate- money, supplies, food and more. According to a few non native reporters, Texans seem to rally together more than any other state. So, all of these volunteers are down in the small cities along the coast. Working tirelessly to help get people back to some sense of normalcy.

This team is  headed up by Tara Clawson. Most of us are from the Dallas-Fort Worth area with contacts along the coast. This team has formed to feed residents and volunteers working diligently to clean up and rebuild after the hurricane.

Patterned after Jesus Burgers out of Isla Vista, CA, we are taking burgers into the areas hit hardest. These contributed funds go directly to purchasing buns, hamburger meat, bottled water & other food items.  

So, please help support this feeding frenzy!!! We are working with local donation centers (Heavenly Hope in Port Aransas & Rebuild Rockport) local law enforcement (Jefferson County Precint 1 & Jefferson County ESD #1) and others to take food into areas still reeling from this event. 

As of September 29th we have fed over 1200 hamburgers to residents of Splendora, Houston, Aransas Pass and Port Aransas.  September 30th will be our first rally - Healing from Harvey Community Rally- in Bevil Oaks, TX. We are anticipating feeding over 500!
