A Mother's Fight Of Her Life
Donation protected
Our family received the most tragic news last week. Our sister Jessica, at the young age of 37, and a new mommy to our 1 year old niece Madelyn, was diagnosed with Stage 3
Non-Hodgkins diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma. Doctors found tumors in her breast, armpits, & groin. Spots were also seen on her lungs and salivary glands. She has a long road ahead including very potent and very expensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments. She is a fighter. Jessica is a determined, hardworking educated woman.
After receiving her Bachelors Degree from UMass Dartmouth in both Psychology and Spanish she went on to receive her Masters Degree from UMass boston in Mental Health Counseling. From there she was accepted into the accelerated Nursing program at Regis College. She has 1 year remaining at Regis until her dream of pursuing a career as a Nurse Practitioner becomes reality. We have every reason to believe she will win this fight. But she needs help. The bills will surely mount up. Jay, Madelyn's daddy, will need to be home from work to care for our niece so Jessica is able to rest and recover from her Chemo and possible Radiation treatments. Since starting his new job only months ago, he has no vacation time saved up, so the time he takes off will be unpaid. Please consider making a donation for our sister and her family. Any amount is humbly appreciated and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
