Jessica Pryor -- Cancer Treatment

Jessica's cancer treatment journey began in December 2021. After over nine months of treatment consisting of multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, and debilitating side effects she was declared "No Evidence of Disease" (NED) in September 2022. However, during a routine 3-month follow-up scan in March 2023 it became evident that the cancer had aggressively returned. Tumor marker numbers increased and a cyst on her right ovary which had been noted during her December 2022 scans had grown rapidly.

After discussing treatment options through MD Anderson, Jessica received a second opinion from UCHealth in Denver and ultimately decided to transfer her treatment to this facility for a multitude of reasons. She underwent surgery to remove her right ovary on April 10, 2023 and has now begun chemotherapy treatment. As of right now, the plan is for her to undergo a biweekly chemotherapy regimen (FOLFIRI chemotherapy infusion followed immediately by 46 hours of chemotherapy pump at home) for a total of 6 rounds.
