With a Little Help From Our Friends!

Family, friends, coworkers, classmates, acquaintances, and interested strangers...

We've done it! After a year of business planning, dreaming, calling, questioning, and hoping, we (Ryan Evans & Jessica Thorpe) have been financed to follow our little dream of owning and operating the Glen Mountain Market & Bakery, in Watkins Glen, NY. We have recently applied a down payment for the business and have a goal of closing on the business May 1st! We could not be happier about our new adventure together!

Many of you are probably familiar with this community based market and bakery, you have probably enjoyed one of Ryan's amazing sandwiches, snacked on a delicate pastry, or sipped coffee in their sunny courtyard. We do not intend to change the vision of the market. Though the market has evolved over time the focus has always been for love of food and love of community and we commit to keep it that way!

Here is where you come in. Though it is sometimes hard to ask for help, we know we could use some! And we are doing that here, through the crowd sourcing of funds. We are asking those people who love us, believe in us, and just simply want to help us out, to do so by donating small amounts of available cash so that we can get off to a good healthy start this summer season! Also, if you feel that you could assist us in some other way, please feel free to call us and share your expertise!

The funds that we raise through this site would go towards:

-Small equipment purchases; to get you the food you love faster!
-Furnishings; so you can get a front row seat to sandwich heaven!
-Electrical upgrades; so you can plug in a boot up for that first morning report over coffee!
-Paint and supplies; for your viewing pleasure!
-Webpage overhaul; so we can keep you updated as we ebb, flow, and grow!
-Printing; to better reach our customers in the market and out in the world!
-Displays; so we can show the world all we have to offer in delectable pastries, cakes, and cookies!

We have offered some rewards for different funding levels and will get you your rewards just as soon as we get in there and get operations up and moving.
