Jerry's Heart: A Sister's Plea for Help

Hello, my name is Kim Brown (I’m on the left in the photo). My brother is Jerry (on the right, lol). We both suffer from heart failure. When I had my heart attack 4 years ago, he was the first to jump in and help me and my family by creating a GoFundMe so my hubby didn’t have to worry about the financial burden of bills and life in general while I was hospitalized as well as recovering. Now, it’s my turn to help him.

Jerry moved back home to Maine a bit over a year ago and made some huge changes in his life for which I am so proud of him for ❤️ he’s finally on his feet financially, with a super cute apartment which he absolutely adores!! Over the course of the past year, however, he was unable to keep up with his medication due to lack of health insurance. He tried the online KHealth route, but they were no help to him. Unfortunately, he was without medication for over a month, which proved to be very detrimental to his condition. (Oh, I forgot to mention I helped him find traditional health insurance, but it wasn’t starting until January 1st.)

He finally was able to get into a cardiologist and back on meds, but it seems a little too late. He’s had 2 episodes of passing out suddenly, both requiring 911 calls. Last night's call has him in ICU at PenBay Medical Center with a weak heart and now a broken clavicle. Sadly, he will be out of work for a while. Please consider helping him stay afloat while he’s recovering. He’s worked so hard to get to where he is; I can’t see him lose it. He would do it for you. Also, I’ve tried to hide this from him, so help me with that if you can! Thank you from the bottom of my failing heart
