Wheelchair assistance
Donation protected
In 2007, Curt and Mary Mantz celebrated 25 years of marriage and bought a home at Riverside Lakes in Waterloo, NE. The home needed repairs and remodeling but they were prepared because Curt was very talented in those areas. Six weeks later their world was rocked when he was diagnosed with ALS, he was only 45. It is 8 years later and he has exceeded his predicted life span but the disease has progressed and he will be moving into a motorized wheelchair soon.
As he begins this new journey, there will be costs not covered by insurance such as a vehicle, ramp and home modifications.
Larry and Rita have generously offered to assist with these expenses by accepting donations as they celebrate their marriage. This site has been reactivated to accept those donations. Their generosity leaves us speechless and appreciative.
Some people enter our lives and leave footprints on hearts and we are never the same, we can't wait to leave footprints on their beach on May 30th.
If you would like to see a little more of their story,
