Jennifer’s Fight with Melanoma

I feel silly writing this and feel like it’s a bunch of bull that I must. But here I am: 

I am a 33 year old mother to two, ages 2 and 11. I am married to the most beautiful and supportive man on this planet, whom I met while we were both in the military. I am currently the only one working - my husband stays home to watch our beautiful daughter. I know cancer is a financial burden and I’m hoping to find some relief in the charity of others. I am grateful for anything ❤️ All funds given will be used for medical bills, travel expenses and anything else that needs to be paid to defeat this beast. 

I have Melanoma of an unknown primary that is in my lymph nodes. We are not sure of anything else beyond that. I received a skin check earlier this year (they found “nothing”) and only this summer did a lump on my back come to my attention. The doctors fully believed it was just a lipoma and asked me if I’d like an ultrasound. Two ultrasounds and a biopsy later, as we expected for lipomas to pop their heads out, we discovered it was my lymph nodes. So here I am, on the journey to get over this obstacle in my life called cancer.  Skin cancer and cancer in general does not run in my family.  So I am a rare one - in all aspects in life, even this one :) Which means my butt can overcome this as well.
