Jennifer's Double Lung Transplant

Our daughter Jennifer Herrmann from Minot, North Dakota has been approved for a double lung transplant at the Hospital of University Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
Those of you who have been with us throughout our journey since 2016 know Jennifer and Jule are in Philadelphia awaiting Jennifer's "perfect " match pair of lungs. Jennifer and Jule (her mother) are currently living at the Gift of Life Family House, which is a wonderful place to live with other transplant patients and caregivers. These are all people who are walking the same walk we are taking.
Jennifer has been diagnosed and treated in Philly with an autoimmune disease, Diffused Systemic Scleroderma for several years. Jen is now needing the double lung transplant to continue her fight.
We are all trying to stay with a positive approach and unending willingness to work with doctors to teach the next generation of specialists and researchers to find a cure and better treatments. She is always open about her own journey with Diffused Systemic Scleroderma talking with and encouraging the medical students to become part of the solution to rare autoimmune diseases such as Scleroderma.
Jennifer and Jule have had the honor to be a part of several Donor Champion panels for the Gift of Life Donor Organization. The amazing donor families, post transplant patients, volunteers, and staff of Gift of Life have added such an experience to our transplant journey.
The costs of treatment, travel, and living in Philadelphia Pennsylvania drain financial resources for all of us. Your help to cover expenses that we cannot for medical, travel, lodging, etc. for the next year or more continues to be appreciated.
Besides starting the Go Fund Me page we have been raising funds with a site on Facebook, "Jen's Jules". All the bracelets are made by Jennifer and have become hand therapy and a creative outlet while Jennifer waits for transplant. Please take a look at this site and we do ship in the USA for an additional $5.00.
Our goal is to be home celebrating a North Dakota autumn in 2019 without oxygen tanks or hoses.
Any and all financial assistance is hugely appreciated by Jennifer's family since at least one of us must continue to be with her throughout pre and post transplant in Philadelphia.
