Brittny's Endometriosis Surgery
Donativo protegido
This is my daughter, Brittny.
Despite her continuous pain, she fights through the best she can, showing up for life, and the people she loves. In particular, her son. Whether it's a track meet, basketball game, or just spending time together. She's front and center, and she does it all on her own.
As a massage therapist, Brittny has put her focus on her clients pain and needs rather than her own. She won't ask for help, but she will be the first to offer it. Donating massages and her artistic skills to help raise funds and awareness for Endometriosis organizations, and people she loves.
Brittny was diagnosed with Stage III Endometriosis in 2020. She has had 4 surgeries since to attempt to remove endometriosis and prevent it from spreading to other organs. Brittny was recently accepted as a Patient at The Center for Endometriosis Care (CEC) in Atlanta Geogia. This is HUGE as she will finally be seeing a true Endometriosis specialist who understands her case. This surgery will be more complicated and extensive than the previous ones and she will have to take at least 2 months off of work to properly recover. Unfortunately, CEC is a private provider (as most specialists are) so insurance will not be applied to surgery. Her job as a massage therapist is very physical, so taking time off is very important for her recovery , these funds will help offset time off and medical bills. Please help us raise funds to get Brittny the proper care that she deserves!
Endometriosis is defined as a disorder in which the presence of tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus. This causes internal bleeding and the organs it attacks to fuse together. Chronic pain, fatigue, and infertility are some of the many symptoms. Although there is no cure, surgery is one of the only ways to potentially improve quality of life.
