Jax needs a walker
Donation protected
Our 6 year old son was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of 2. He cannot walk on his own and requires a special walker for mobility. He attends a regular school in our community and is loved by his fellow classmates. Last year, the used-walker which was so graciously donated by the Red Cross Society broke and cannot be repaired. At this time, The Red Cross does not have any used walkers for Jax to use in school and so we are to purchase a new one. The cost for the walker is $4,857 of which, the BC Government will fund $2,845, leaving a balance of $2,012, which is a financial hardship on our family. With having a special needs child, it requires special need care. So instead of having 2 parents working full-time and paying someone else to care for our son, Jax has 1 parent that works full-time and his other parent working part-time. The $2,000 price tag is hard to save for and even harder when we need this walker sooner rather than later. And so, we have created this account to help raise the funds needed so that Jax can get up and start walking with assistance as quickly as possible. Any donation is greatly appreciated!
