James O'Mara disabled vet ALS fund

Jimmy and his wife Penny (Faulkner) have been married for 6 years. Jimmy was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease ) on April 27th of this year. He was Air Force active duty and Navy reserve. Currently he is getting infusions everyday of Radacava. Its a new drug thats supposed to slow the progression and prolong life by 30 %. As far as whats needed, the VA is providing some  equipment, wheelchair, modified van etc. Neither one of them are working, Penny had to quit her job to take care of her husband and is now  considered his care giver. Alot of the smaller expenses and equipment for house are needed ( shower chair, commode,etc ) as well as traveling expensives . Jimmy is a devoted and loving husband , friend and step father.  We all know what ALS can do to someone and their quality of life.  They currently live in Thornton , Colorado but will be moving back to Ct so family and friends can help Jimmy in his every day battle.
