Hello, my name is Jade and I am a Registered Nurse from Australia currently undertaking a volunteer program for 4 weeks in Uganda, Africa.
The overall aim of this project I am participating in is to improve access to quality healthcare in Uganda.
I am currently volunteering at a small medical center in a poverty stricken area where Malaria, Thyphoid and HIV/Aids are extremely prevalent.
Resources and staffing are limited and as a result of this many unwell patients are unable to receive sufficient medical treatment, if any.
Over the next four weeks of volunteering I would like to raise funds to buy supplies to donate to medical centers and outreach programs in need.
A little goes a long way here in Africa, so any donations big or small, will make a world of difference to these people in need.
