Help a Survivor Rebuild After Domestic Abuse

A dear friend and colleague of mine has recently endured unimaginable trauma. She was the victim of severe domestic abuse—so brutal that she was hospitalized. The situation was deeply manipulative: she was isolated from loved ones with promises of marriage, made entirely dependent on him, and left with nothing when the abuse escalated.

Though he has been charged with assault, his whereabouts remain unknown. And as if the physical and emotional toll weren’t enough, she now faces an overwhelming financial crisis—she’s been served with eviction papers, lost her insurance, and is on the brink of losing her car.

My family and I are doing everything we can to support her—helping her find work, apply for aid, and rebuild piece by piece. But right now, she needs more than just what we alone can provide.
