MAMA & RALPHIE

Hello, neighbors!

We found a sweet German Shepard and her puppy by our house. The pair was found at the crossroads of hillside Ave and cactus drive in 29 palms at 2am on 1/1/21. We immediately posted “found ads” everywhere we could think of hoping to reunite them with their owner.

They were both checked for microchips but no luck... Since it’s been some time since we found them with no leads we believe these dogs may have been abandoned...

The mother dog is a German Shepard (not spayed) which we believe to be about 2 years old. She is kind to humans and very attentive to her pup. We call her “mama”. Mama likes our cat and to check on our human baby. Mama is also house trained and loves to play (especially with her pup). She is skidding around new people but warms up quickly.

Her puppy is super cute and loves his mama. He goes by “Ralphie”, Ralphie is working on house training as he goes outside but has an occasional accident inside. Boy does Ralphie enjoy chewing on the teething toys we got him!

We cannot keep these dogs as we rent and have an infant. For these reasons we, unfortunately, need to find them a foster home for them quickly. We never imagined after finding this sweet pair that they would be with us this long. It saddens us that their owners have yet to be found or come forward... We would really like to avoid taking them to any type of “kill shelter” and the local humane society is not taking new residents. Our family wants to make sure they are fostered by parents who will love and care for them. Ideally, we would like to keep this bonded pair together.

Our experience with them leads us to believe they would be a great addition to any family with children and other pets. In fact, we would love to foster the pair but are sadly unable due to breed restrictions while renting and a fear that our new baby will leave them without the attention they deserve.

Plus, Ralphie still requires potty training guidance.

If anyone would like to donate money to help us get them doggie supplies such as food, toys, and a vet exam please let us know. We hate to ask the community for money but our resources are limited due to the current world ‘climate’ and the new addition to our family.
