Help Heal Savannah's Heart

Hello, I'm Anna, and I'm here to raise funds for my dear niece Savannah and her parents Lori and Ryan. Savannah has heterotaxy, a very rare genetic condition that results in poorly formed, incorrectly placed, and/or missing organs. Our sweet Savannah is having to go to Boston Children’s Hospital for another open-heart surgery this spring. If you’re keeping track, this makes three open-heart surgeries in her 10 short years on top of over a dozen cardiac caths and many more surgeries. This time, she needs to have her heart valve repaired or replaced and get a new pacemaker system. Right now, Savannah has no heart rhythm without her pacemaker. This means if a lead fractures or something malfunctions, she would instantaneously flat line, so this is a really important surgery.

I am hoping to raise enough money to help them cover at least half the extra costs that will come from staying half a country away from Indiana - food, housing, and travel - so I'm hoping for $7,500. A $10 donation covers 10 miles of travel. A $20 donation covers a meal for Lori and Ryan. A $75 donation covers a day and night of family housing near the hospital.

My stretch goal is to cover all $15,000 of those expenses, especially since neither Lori or Ryan will be able to work while they stay with their daughter in Boston for 5 weeks.

Lori and Ryan will receive all donations directly. If by some miracle, we raise more than they need or everything goes perfectly and they get to go home really early, any extra funds will be applied to Savannah's seven-figure medical bills from this stay.
