After a short but bold and very courageous battle with cancer, Mike passed away peacefully in palliative care in hospital. A supportive husband and loving father, he leaves behind his wife Clarisa and daughters Maya (15) and Liya (14).
Mike was stubborn and strong and determined to overcome cancer, never accepting even the grimmest prognosis. He truly fought to the end.
Many people remember Mike for his commitment to work ethic and his passion for all things Star Trek and his Fiero GT. He loved watching his daughters play soccer and cheered them on from home by video when he was no longer able to come fieldside. He looked forward to teaching his girls how to drive and encouraged their dreams for university and the future.
Funds raised will help with many upcoming expenses including the home and an education fund for his daughters.
