On April 9, 2018, Iris Carolina Rodriguez was suddenly and unexpectedly taken from our lives when a small six-passenger airplane crashed into a golf course in Phoenix, Arizona. Anybody who had the pleasure of knowing Iris Carolina knows the impact she had on everyone around her. Her smile and infectious laughter brightened the room and the lives of everyone she met.
Iris Carolina was set to return to her home country, Honduras, on Sunday after a six-month stay with family in Northern Virginia for graduate school. She quickly became part of our family at Coyote Grille with her almost daily presence in the restaurant for the past six months.
Her family needs financial assistance to return her remains back to Honduras and to offset funeral costs. This money will be distributed to her immediate family by her cousin, Allison, who will serve as the executor for these funds. It will help them as they pay final expenses for her transportation and funeral costs.
Her loss has been completely devastating to her friends and family, any amount that you can donate to assist her family in this time of mourning would be greatly appreciated. It is rare that you meet someone as special as Iris Carolina.
