International girlguiding trip to Morocco

Hi, my names Carys and I’ve recently been selected to go on an international trip with girlguiding anglia! I’ve been selected to go to Morocco for nine nights during next summer and can’t wait!

last summer, I went to Essex international jamboree and had an incredible time. I got to build stronger friendships with the girls in my ranger unit as well as making new friends, ranging from Ukraine to Japan! Since then I’ve been eager to have my own international adventure and once the opportunity came, I took it. I’ve gone to two separate selection days and was delighted when I saw that I’d been chosen to go to Morroco.

whilst we’re visiting, we’ll be going to a number of tourist hotspots as well as taking part in traditional cultural activities and also engaging in the local community. We plan to meet up with Moroccan girl guides as well as visiting a local woman’s charity.

The cost will include group uniform, badges, weekends spent bonding, all accommodation, activities and food.

with this being one of my last years involved in rangers, I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to go on this trip. I can’t wait to give back to girlguiding everything it’s given to me! The friends I’ve made, experiences I’ve had and the skills I’ve learnt have all led to me being so grateful!
