For the Children
Donation protected
On December 23, 2023, the death of Roxanne left three young children without a mother, a devastated husband, and a mother who was so heartbroken that she also transitioned 12 days later.
Our Roxanne was a light that will continue to be illuminated through her children's legacy and we, her biological brother and all of us who called her sister want to ensure that they have more security in their future.
The Babies
Her children (9, 7, 5 ) are now without a mother and a maternal grandmother who they loved dearly. We know the potential challenges that they could encounter and we would like to help mitigate those challenges by creating an interest bearing trust for them. It is important that they have an opportunity to be successful while navigating life without their mother and maternal grandmother.

About Roxanne
Anyone who knew Roxanne knows that she always saw the cup as half full. Even when she was diagnosed with cancer, she saw the bright side. As a doting mother, she continued to care for her children by being the mother that they needed despite the effects of cancer on her body. As a dutiful wife she continued to ensure that she supported her husband; their farm's production wasn't impeded by her sickness and she showed up physically even when her body told her she couldn't. She toiled and labored through the discomfort. And as a devoted daughter she supported her mother, being a shoulder and caretaker as they both grieved her younger brother.
Her vibrant spirit is reflected through the diversity of her friendships. Her friend circle includes people of various religious beliefs and backgrounds, friends from elementary school, friends she gained when she was a student at Michigan State University, her sorority sisters and fraternity brothers, and those in the Michigan, specifically Detroit, farming communities. Her ability to connect with individuals regardless of their backgrounds illustrate her knack for establishing bonds. Her profound belief in compassion for others is evident in her efforts to inspire her community to foster meaningful connections while creating a sustainable lifestyle.
Her resilience was exhibited as she smiled, joked, and showered her sisters with compliments during her final hours on this earth; she loved spreading happiness. Her encouragement helped those around her to succeed.
The Trust
We'd like to reciprocate the joy that she gave us by helping her brother and her husband raise funds for her children by creating an interest bearing trust that could give them opportunities that her mother and grandmother aren't able to give them. We are asking all of the friends who loved her, those who have heard of her and those who are touched by her story to help.
Once the trust has been created, it will be shared for those of you who want to continue to support their children throughout their lives by making scheduled deposits if you'd like. Feel free to send an email if you are interested in being a long-term donor.
