In memory of Steve Conway

Hello everyone my name is John Stewart on Friday 20th November I was informed that my friend and work colleague STEVE CONWAY had been found at his flat and had sadly passed away.
Steve had been isolating from his work due to having had some operations on his foot that could make him vulnerable to the corvid virus, he had been keeping in touch with people, but contact suddenly stopped and we started to worry about him, so a colleague went to his flat where he was devastated to find he had passed away.
Steve was a 59 year old outgoing sort of guy that had time for anybody, always ready to help anyone needing it, he was an avid Rugby League fan supporting Castleford Tigers in the pro game and Bramley Buffalo's in the amateur ranks, but most of all he was a much loved and faithful friend.
We have since Steve's passing we have been trying to contact any family members Steve had, it is becoming obvious that he had only a couple of family members left, his Mother is unfortunately in a care home suffering from advanced Dementia and does not have memories of Steve, and an uncle who we are in contact with.
Whilst Steve may have died alone we his railway family are determined that he will be sent to heaven with DIGNITY and we are appealing for Donations to at least give him a proper funeral and help lay him to rest.
To that end I am asking his friends to please help us do this by donating anything that you can afford, no matter how small, to help us achieve our aim and to share this appeal with friends of friends that may have known Steve.
Time is very much of the essence as arrangements need to be made which will not be easy in these time of the pandemic and approaching Christmas.
I hope people can find it in there hearts to help our appeal to send a truly great friend on his last journey with love and DIGNITY, and I thank you all in advance for any help you give.
Should this appeal raise more than is required then remaining funds will be donated to one or more Charites to help others in need of help.
