In Memory of Michael Thomas Heath
Donation protected
To honour Mike's life, we have set up this GoFundMe page to support two local charities that were important to Mike:
1) BC Inherited Arrhythmia Clinic to support local research, education, screening, and effective medical treatment for those affected by cardiac rhythm disorders. Mike was the first of his family to be diagnosed with Long QT Syndrome (LQTS), a genetic cardiac arrhythmia disorder. This brought critical awareness of the condition to his immediate family and relatives. For more information about the clinic, please visit: http://www.cardiacbc.ca/our-services/programs/bc-inherited-arrhythmia-program
2) Canucks for Kids Fund to support children's health and wellness, foster the development of grassroots hockey, and facilitate and encourage education in British Columbia. Mike was an accomplished hockey player, named Rookie of the year and subsequently Captain while playing at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Mike's fun loving nature made him a natural with kids, he was a role model for many children and youth as an uncle and coach. For more information about the fund, please visit: https://www.nhl.com/canucks/community/canucks-for-kids-fund
The funds will be collectively donated in Mike's name to both the BC Inherited Arrhythmia Clinic and Canucks for Kids Fund. We thank everyone for their support and kind contributions.
