On Christmas Day, 2023, the unthinkable happened: 40-year old Josh Brown was killed in a devastating automobile crash. Married only 3 and a half years, his young widow Mariah now finds herself suddenly without her life partner and without transportation, as Josh was driving the only car they owned. Mariah has been borrowing a family member’s vehicle, but will need a long-term solution so she can get to and from work reliably and transport Josh’s three beloved dogs, Nadya, Angus and Rome as needed. The vehicle was insured, but there will be a large gap between that value and what it will cost to replace it. 

Mariah is facing a daunting task - learning to exist in a world and a future that is so starkly differnent than what she and Josh dreamed up together until he was so tragically taken from her. This fund will help ease just one of the many uncertainties she faces in the days ahead.
