In Memory of Jesi Bender - A Fund For Her Children

This memorial fund is intended to honor Jesi Bender's wish that a fund be collected in her honor, on behalf of our children, in lieu of flowers after her passing.

For those of you who knew Jesi, you know how much her smile could light up a room, how she was fearless in the face of adversity, how she lived life to the fullest, and certainly how much she loved her children. Her passing will inevitably darken the lives of those around her, and yet her memory will forever be a light to guide us through even the darkest of times.

Jesi fought so hard these last few years after being diagnosed with cervical cancer. She underwent multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and even open brain surgery, all in an effort to fight for more days with her beautiful children. Jesi fought to overcome so many battles in her life, from surviving domestic violence and mental health struggles to sobriety, and through it all, Jesi lived her life by putting it all in the public spotlight for others to find their own courage to continue fighting their own battles. Jesi took great pride in knowing how many people she helped by being so open with her life.

Despite fighting the hardest battle of all against cancer, it ultimately proved to be too much after she developed multiple brain tumors. Jesi leaves behind her husband, her 4 children, her mother and father, her brother, her grandmother, her dogs, and many aunts and uncles. A celebration of life is being planned to honor her life and her memory, with more details to come for those who would like to attend.
