Bertha Mendoza, 56 years of age, was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter and grandmother. She was loved dearly by her family, community, her church family, and co-workers. She was caught in the devastation from the over flow in Nolichucky and separated from her sister while trying to stay afloat on the rushing current. She was last seen on 9/27/24 and later found and identified on 9/29/24. The family asks for prayers and any support you can contribute to her widowed husband for her funeral expenses. We stand with all those families impacted and we could never have imagined this type of loss affecting our loving Bertha. Thank you all.

Bertha Mendoza, de 56 años, fue una amorosa esposa, madre, hermana, hija y abuela. Su familia, su comunidad, su familia de la iglesia y sus compañeros de trabajo la amaban mucho. Quedó atrapada en la devastación causada por el desbordamiento en Nolichucky y separada de su hermana mientras intentaba mantenerse a flote en la fuerte corriente. Fue vista por última vez el 27/9/24 y luego encontrada e identificada el 29/9/24. La familia pide oraciones y todo el apoyo que puedan aportar a su esposo viudo para los gastos de su funeral. Estamos juntos en un mismo sentir con todas nuestras familias afectadas y nunca hubiéramos imaginado que este tipo de pérdida afectaría a nuestra familia y menos que fuera Bertha. Gracias a todos.
