In Loving Memory of Orlando Atencio – Support for His Family

It is with heavy hearts and deep sorrow that we share the unexpected and tragic loss of Orlando Atencio, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Orlando was taken from us far too soon, leaving behind a heartbroken family and community that cherished his warmth, laughter, and unshakable love.

Orlando was the kind of person who never met a stranger—his charming smile and love for life lit up every room he walked into. His presence made people feel welcome, safe, and loved. Whether you knew him for a moment or a lifetime, you knew you were in the company of someone truly special.

He leaves behind his wife Alicia Atencio and their children:

Mickey Shamy (Felicia), Darrius Daniels (Summer), Kyeran Daniels, Nevaeh Atencio, Nia Atencio, Santianna Atencio, and Orlando Atencio Jr.

Orlando was also a proud grandfather to Katalaya, Camellia, Alana Shamy, Marquez Daniels, Luna Atencio, Sakani Atencio, and Ashanti Edwards—each of whom he loved deeply and brought joy to his life.

He is mourned by his parents Ronald and Vickie Atencio, and siblings Krista Atencio, Angela (Rosie) Torres Atencio, Brandy Atencio, and Patrick (TK) Atencio. His nieces and nephews, including Faizon, Marion, Lazariah, Faith, Levi, Patrick, Jordon, Adriana Bartley Atencio, Mariah (Ricky) Evans, Eric (Ashlyn) McKethan, Aleashea, Devon Prescott, and Leia Evans, were all touched by his love and humor.

Orlando was preceded in death by his grandfathers and grandmothers Levi and Cecilia Tucson, Orlando and Dorothy Atencio, and his beloved brother Dominick Atencio—whom we know welcomed him with open arms.

This sudden loss has devastated the Atencio family emotionally and financially. We are asking for support to help cover funeral costs, memorial services, and to provide relief for his family during this unimaginable time.
