It is with a heavy heart to share of the passing of Larry Marra. He was a wonderful husband to his wife Joan for 46 years, a loving and outstanding father, to their sons, deceased Larry Jr., and Scott, retired New York City Police Officer, and loved by all he met. To all that knew him, knew he was a selfless man that would put anyone else’s needs above his own.

In May, Larry was suddenly and shockingly diagnosed at Hackensack University Medical Hospital with invasive stage 4 bladder cancer that had aggressively spread to the bones. After 6 surgical procedures, 35 transfusions, and then the removal of his bladder and muscles by specialized robot surgery, you can only imagine the millions of dollars in medical bills and expenses that this incurred. 

He fought hard with a positive attitude through everything he endured to the very end so he could remain with his family. Only after 3 short months, on August 15 while being surrounded by the love of his family, Larry passed away comfortably and peacefully. 

With gofundme, there needs to be a set goal amount, but there is no amount or goal we can put on Larry’s life. We are appreciative and most grateful for any donation no matter what amount. It is with our heartfelt thanks for any generosity during this devastating and dark time for the Marra Family.
