Juanita Florencio was an ambitious entrepreneur and a beloved mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. She was a caring person, always thinking about how to help others,
In 1999, Juanita founded Gaby's Bakery in Bushwick, where she worked alongside her family to bring her customers' dream cakes to life and more. She also dedicated 25 years working as a school aide at P.S. 274 The Kosciusko School in Bushwick, caring for her students as if they were her own.
After battling illnesses over the years, Juanita passed away on February 15th, 2026, surrounded by those she loved. She leaves behind her husband, three children and four grandchildren, whom she has always shown endless love. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Juanita Florencio fue una emprendedora ambiciosa y una querida madre, esposa, abuela y amiga. Era una persona cariñosa, siempre pensando en cómo ayudar a los demás.
En 1999, Juanita fundó la Pastelería Gaby's Bakery en Bushwick, donde trabajó junto a su familia para hacer realidad los pasteles soñados de sus queridos clientes y mucho más. También dedicó 25 años como asistente escolar en la escuela P.S. 274 The Kosciusko en Bushwick, cuidando de sus alumnos como si fueran suyos.
Tras años de lucha contra enfermedades, Juanita falleció el 15 de febrero de 2026, rodeada de sus seres queridos. Deja atrás a su esposo, tres hijos y cuatro nietos, a quienes siempre les mostró un amor infinito. Todos quienes la conocieron la extrañarán profundamente.
Esta recaudación de fondos fue creada por su familia para ayudar a cubrir los gastos funerarios y de entierro. Agradecemos a todos los que donaron y compartieron palabras de cariño y apoyo durante este momento difícil.
