On January 20, 2019, our beloved Flora Simmons passed away. For over a year Flora had been living with cancer, unbeknownst to her or her family. She was seemingly healthy and had no symptoms or sickness during that time frame. The cancer started in her gall bladder, spread to her kidney, and reached her liver by the time she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Liver Cancer just 2 weeks before her death.

Flora was a mother, a sister, a mentor, a friend, a grandmother, and a positive light to so many. She was giving, kind, caring, and always considering others before she considered herself. She is dearly missed and will always be remembered for her unique sayings, jokes, words of wisdom, stories, and positive thoughts.

Flora is survived by her children, Latricia, Roger, Martavius, Trenson, and Latrice; her siblings, Edward, Minnie, Wide, Pearlie, Ivory Joe; her grandchildren, her nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.

All funds raised will go towards covering funeral expenses and providing relief for her family. Please keep her family in your prayers.
