Hello, I'm James.
This year, I am honoured to announce that I, alongside a very talented group of friends, have been able to write, rehearse, and perform our own shows at our school (Ilkley Grammar School) and all of it is for charity!
Hijinx to be exact, an incredible charity in Wales that has been allowing disabled and autistic actors to get the same chances that we have to express themselves, and perform how they want to.
Our two shows are as follows:
Take One! - Written & Directed by James Hepworth:
'Writing a show is hard. Actually getting a group of people together to rehearse it is even harder. This story follows Mr Lewis Clay, and his chance at stardom, as he tries to put together his first stage play, amidst time constraints, a chaotic cast, and constant battles with his own feelings of inadequacy.'
Saturday Nights in Sheff' - Written & Directed by Jeff Cook:
'An action-packed tale within the heart of a stereotypical mining community in Sheffield during the widespread industrial strikes during the 1980s, depicting its unique culture and lifestyle while highlighting numerous struggles within the "industrial north" during the time in Britain.'
Even if you are unable to attend the shows on Tuesday 8th July, we would be very grateful for any donations that you are willing to provide! We will certainly try to provide photos and clips from our performances, so don't worry, your money is going to a good cause!
Thank you for your consideration,
