My father, Igor Bybliv, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in July of 2016 - on his 55th birthday, to be exact.
Since then, we have poured through pages and pages of clinical trial studies, and traveled all over the country in search of latest medicine to give our dad the best fighting chance against this awful disease.
My mom, brother, and I have been by his side through this entire process... every appointment, every hospital stay, every procedure... he was never alone.
We spent majority of this past summer in the hospital. However, the current hospital stay is the most difficult yet and the doctors are not very optimistic about the outcome.
Unfortunately, about a year ago my dad's job was eliminated while he was on disability and along with it my parents lost all their much needed health benefits. My parents were able to purchase insurance on their own but it costs over $1,200 per month. This has been very difficult on them between the insurance cost and the medical bills piling up (not to mention the trips to different clinics and extended hospital stays), in combination with the lost income of my father being on disability and mom not working to care for him.
I have set up an account in my mom and dad's names to help relieve some of the financial burden that accompanies this physically, mentally, and emotionally draining experience of fighting cancer. If you know my family at all, you would know that my parents are the most selfless and loving people anyone can know, and they would give everything they have to help someone in need. Unfortunately, this is the time when they have exhausted all their options and are in need of your help.
