We want to support the manager of the Kelmscott, Western Australia IGA store, who has been spuriously charged with assault over his attempts to detain a feral juvenile . The Community has had enough of the hand-wringing lack of definition on the part of the over compensating State .
The reason I created the campaign was that the bringing of these charges is not only unjustifiable, but sends a signal to the community that " if you take action to arrest a lawbreaker, you will be punished" - as the stress and costs of preparing a legal defense are high .
Many support the boy and his relatives - but the implications of their stated defences are not tolerable in a modern society, and I suggest - not sustainable at law.
Please donate and share if you don't want a situation where unsupervised children are free to behave as they wish - and take what they want.
