I AM A BLACK QUEER MUSLIM WOMAN IN MINNEAPOLIS SEEKING ASSISTANCE FOR SCHOOL DEBT AND HOUSING INSECURITY.
Hello. I am choosing to remain anonymous to protect my identity and safety as a Queer Black Muslim so I am unable to share my name! I am in need of financial assistance. I currently live on campus in Minneapolis, Minnesota and I will not be able to live there much longer. My housing contract was terminated and I am expected to evacuate the premises by August 6th. Currently, I am looking for housing options around the twin cities, but I need enough money for a down payment and for the first few months of rent. I am in debt at my school for exactly $3293.44 that needs to be paid before my housing contract is up. I have been an essential worker throughout the entire pandemic and I have not received a raise of any kind. I make an average of $130 per paycheck and I spend it on groceries and other essentials I need for survival. I am looking for a higher paying position, but as of right now, I am unable to do this alone. I am asking for $6,000, half going towards my school debt, and the other half to be able to help me with my first down deposit and first two months of rent. I am grateful for any help I can receive. Please share!
