Hurricane Victim Nancy Needs Our Help

Donation protected
Hi, My name is Connie DeCiutiis. I am starting this fund raiser for my sister Nancy Zinkofsky.

Nancy has not had the easiest life. She has suffered much lost and struggled with depression. As her sister I thought it would be great to reach out to family and friends to have an opportunity to show our appreciation for all Nancy has done for her family, her friends and her community by giving Nancy this surprise gift.

This fund raiser is for the damages that Nancy suffered from hurricane Irma. Even though it was a few years ago, Nancy is not able to cope financially with the final repairs to her property.

After a long year and a half battle, she finally got a new roof. The insurance covered a portion, however it still cost her thousands of dollars. She felt proud that she still had the rest of her savings to repair the back of her house, the yard and fence, however she had an unexpected financial hit when she was forced to pay a $10,000 debt that her X husband accrued on her credit account which made her responsible to have to pay. She is now completely wiped out financially, living pay check to pay check.
Although she is suing her X, it will be years before the court date and no guarantee of him ever paying her.

When I was visiting her this past February it saddened me so much to look out her kitchen window. It brought tears to my eyes to see such a sad terrible site to remind her everyday that she suffered this loss from the hurricane with no means to hire a landscaper to fix the yard and fence. So I came up with this idea to help her. I am using the gofundme to raise money to surprise her with a cleaned up yard and maybe a new fence.

Her son Jeremy is designing a modest, low maintenance plan, and his landscaper has agreed to travel from Gainsville, FL to preform the work in her yard in Eustis, FL.

Mario and I are taking Nancy with us on a vacation in April, so the work will be preformed while she is away.

The goal is to have it finished and paid for by April 19th, 2020. The funds will be for a complete clean out, placing pavers,  small plantings, and repair or replace fencing (depending on how much money we raise).

We believe that this will be such a blessed surprise upon her return. Not only will it lift her spirits but we all get a chance to feel good about giving a gift to Nancy.

Any help from family and friends would be so gratefully appreciated. We only have 5 weeks to raise the funds and get the work done.

We are not putting this on social media because we don't want Nancy to see it.
Therefore we are sharing this via emails
Please pass on this link via email to anyone you think would also be happy to help with this sweet cause. We kindly ask for your discretion to keep this a surprise and we thank you for your generosity.
