In Memory of Joshua Houk -- Funeral Expenses

Dear friends and family of Josh Houk,

My name is Mary Grace (Gracie) Ellerbee, and I am setting this GoFundMe up on behalf of my mom, Patty Houk. On February 27, 2024, our family suddenly lost my brother, Josh at 44 years old. He is survived by myself, our oldest brother Tim Houk, and our mother. This loss was very unexpected and is the fourth loss in our family unit within the last year. Because my brother survived with extremely minimal means, he did not have a life insurance policy or any savings available in the event of an emergency. This means the financial burden is falling on my mother, who has suffered her own demanding medical emergencies in the last year and had to leave her job as a result. Even before these obstacles, she was living on limited means.

In short, the costs associated with Josh's arrangements are greater than what the family has available, and I have been asked to create this GoFundMe to offset that cost. Any funds donated will 100% be used to cover the expenses related to Josh's funeral service and cremation.

Growing up in Louisiana, we know the power of a community when it rallies behind its people. Josh was someone who would give the shirt off his back if you asked him to, and a hard worker regardless how big the task. Someone who cared to a fault. If you are able, we greatly appreciate your help giving him and the family a proper "until we see you again."
