Get Howard to Minnesota

Hello, everyone, 

My name is Diana Shepperson, I am starting this GoFundME Campain for my husband Howard. Howard was born with a heart condition and has lived a normal life for 35 years. Howard went into heart failure 3 years ago and has been having heart problems since then. Howard has Cardiomyopathy and Heart Failure. His symptoms have been worsening and we need to take more drastic measures. Howard is having to go to Minnesota to have open heart surgery, he needs a Septal Myectomy. This procedure can't be done in Utah so he is needing to travel to the closest place which is the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. We were looking to raise our own funds to get him there in the month of June 2018, but he needs to meet with the doctors and surgeon in Minnesota before the surgery for an evaluation in May 2018.Then he will either travel back home to Utah and then travel back to the Mayo Clinic for surgery, or stay in Minnesota and have surgery the same day, which his recovery time will be about a month. Howard and I have three beautiful daughters and we are trying to keep life as normal as possible for them, so I will be staying home and Howard will travel to Minnesota with his sister while I take care of school, home, and work here.
