My sister and her 3 year old son are currently homeless as an electrical fault in a flat in her building in New Cross Gate set the whole place alight yesterday afternoon. Luckily they were both out of the property and are safe but have no contents insurance as they were renting so have lost everything. All of his clothes, toys, passport etc and all my sister’s belongings. She is waiting to be re-homed but it isn’t looking promising any time soon as they have to wait for the insurance claim via her landlord and will only be a temporary fix as the building has been condemned so is going to be demolished in due course. Any small donation to help replace some of what she has lost or if you have any other suggestions of help with housing or anything, we would be grateful.
