Imagine facing death for believing that men and women should be able to enjoy sport equally. Tamim has been targeted by the Taliban because of his involvement in women’s football and futsal.

Tamim is a FIFA referee, and his only crime is coaching and refereeing girls and women.

He has left behind his family and possessions, but is grateful to have received a temporary humanitarian visa to enter Australia.

As Kabul fell, the last planes left and the airport exploded, Tamim reached out to me in desperation.

Please help Tamim start his new life in Australia on a positive note. He will need all of the help he can get to find his feet here.

I know Tamim personally though our involvement in futsal. All funds raised will be provided directly to Tamim to assist with clothing, living expenses and other expenses just to survive outside what is provided by the government.

We will also be connecting Tamim with local futsal, football and Afghan networks.

Please help in any way you can. Thank you
