Hoop for Hope Basketball Tournament

Beschermde donatie
The Hoops for Hope Basketball Tournament was sparked after our community lost a beloved friend to substance abuse. When a tragedy of this magnitude hits such a small town like North Salem, the entire community feels the pain and suffering. This tournament is meant to raise money and awareness for substance abuse, as well as help alleviate the hardships associated with substance abuse for all parties involved. All proceeds made at this event will go directly to Angels At Risk. Angels at Risk is a non-profit organization with curated educational programs and services designed to encourage communication on a parent to parent, teen to teen, and parent to teen level pertaining to drug and alcohol abuse. The GoFundMe target donation has been set high due to the overall positive support the tournament has received from inside and outside the North Salem community. The overwhelming support for Hoops for Hope is incredibly heart warming, which is why this event will be successful this year and hopefully many more years to come. I am not working with the charity directly, however, I researched several other organizations and found that Angels at Risk meets the criteria that can best benefit the population of people struggling with substance abuse issues. I found Angels at Risk’s mission statement and objectives to be motivational due to the time and effort they put into their mission. Angels At Risk is an appropriate organization choice and it is our unified goal that the money made from this event can help several families in the future.
