This is our grandson Hide! He is not even 3 years old yet, and has just has been diagnosed with Adrenocortical Carcinoma, a rare disease in which cancer cells form in the outer layer of the adrenal gland.
He has started treatment, which we pray will start working to shrink the tumor, so surgery can be performed, but it’s not a guarantee.
This is devastating news of course!! We feel so helpless, and with Covid-19, we are not even able to travel there to be with him.
His parents (Jon and Yui) are currently off work to be with him at the hospital, and will remain with him, as he doesn’t understand at all what’s going on, He just wants to go “outside” to play.
This will definitely be a financial burden on them, on top of all they have to deal with already.
