What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation quickly turned into the most frightening experience of my life. During the trip, I suffered a severe neck injury that resulted in a a couple of cervical fractures. In a matter of seconds, everything changed. I went from enjoying time away to being rushed into medical care and facing the reality that my ability to work, move, and even safely care for myself and my children would be deeply affected for months to come.

Right now, I am unable to work, unable to drive, and unable to live independently. Everyday tasks—getting up, walking, showering, preparing meals—now require assistance. The pain and limited mobility make even simple movements difficult, and ongoing treatments, scans, physical therapy, and follow-up appointments will continue well into the future.

As a parent, this situation has been especially heartbreaking. My children rely on me, and not being able to support them or maintain stability has been devastating. On top of the emotional and physical challenges, medical bills, emergency treatment costs, and everyday living expenses are quickly piling up. Without benefits from my place of work, on top of what medical insurance won’t cover, has left me without the financial safety net I desperately need during this critical time.

With the holidays approaching, a season that is normally filled with joy, warmth, and family traditions, the weight of this hardship feels even heavier. I am humbly asking for help—any help—to keep us afloat during this extremely difficult chapter.
