On October 3rd my dear friend Amanda Jacobs experienced the sudden and heartbreaking loss of her husband, Matthew. His passing was unexpected, and it has left a deep void in the lives of his family, friends, and everyone blessed to know him.

Matt was a man who loved the Lord and lived his life with kindness, faith, and devotion. He was a husband, son, brother, cousin, friend and a light to so many. His laughter, generosity, and love for others touched countless lives, and he will be dearly missed. While we mourn his absence, we take comfort in the promise of Jesus: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die” (John 11:25).

In addition to the overwhelming grief, Amanda now faces unexpected financial challenges—funeral costs, bills, and the transition to a life without her partner. As the body of Christ, we are called to lift one another up, and this is a time to surround her with both prayer and practical support.
