Hello, I am Tia Powers, the mother of London Powers, whose life was tragically taken from us on Monday, August 11, 2025, as a result of domestic violence. London was a native of Washington, D.C and attended school at North Carolina Central University.

Domestic Violence is real! My daughter left the relationship 3 weeks ago. She received her keys to her new apartment on Monday, August 11, 2025. London was determined to finish school and obtain her degree in Social Work at NCCU. My kids and I are devastated. We're still having a hard time accepting our loss. We are grateful for all of the support and affection we are receiving. We would be very grateful for any and all contributions towards her memorial services in North Carolina and back home in Washington, D.C.
