Honoring Khalil Fong (方大同) A Memorial Bench in London

“Music is the soul’s breath—Khalil’s melodies still echo in ours.”

We are currently working to donate a memorial bench in honor of Khalil Fong, a beloved singer-songwriter and producer known for his soulful fusion of R&B, Chinese music, and heartfelt lyricism. He passed away on 21 February 2025 at the age of 41.

Khalil’s music resonated throughout Asia, inspiring a generation of Chinese-language musicians. Beyond his artistry, Khalil was a devoted follower of the Baháʼí Faith, a lifelong vegetarian who cherished nature and life, and someone who cared deeply about children’s education.

It is heartbreaking to lose someone so radiant and deeply loved, far too soon. Yet in this grief, we also remember the warmth, wisdom, and soul he poured into the world.

The bench will be installed in Victoria Embankment Gardens, one of London’s most peaceful and contemplative public spaces, along the quiet banks of the Thames. May Khalil’s spirit — and the warmth he gave us through music — continue to accompany us in the years to come.

This bench is for those who loved him to sit, reflect, and feel close again. It will also be a place of rest for anyone passing by — just as Khalil’s music always embraced us with gentleness, this bench, too, will quietly sit beside those who need it.

Donation Cost

The memorial bench will cost £1,625 in total — including the bench, plaque, installation, and 10-year maintenance — as confirmed by Westminster City Council.

About This Project & Organizer

This is a fan-initiated, non-commercial tribute, created solely in memory of Khalil Fong.

We are a group of individual supporters who came together to honor his legacy through this peaceful memorial gesture.

This project is not affiliated with Khalil Fong, his family, or his official team in any way. It is organized purely out of love, remembrance, and respect.

I am the organizer and project initiator on GoFundMe.

As the person responsible, I will receive the donations directly on behalf of our community and use them exclusively to cover the confirmed cost of the memorial bench.

这张长椅将设于伦敦维多利亚堤岸花园（Victoria Embankment Gardens），位于美丽的泰晤士河畔、Embankment 地铁站旁，地理位置理想，环境宁静宜人，既便于前往，也是一处人们常驻足观赏与歇息的地方。
