Honoring Joshua Danner: Support for His Family

UPDATE: The viewing for Joshua Jacob Danner is 6 pm on Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home in Jacksonville. The memorial is 6 pm on Wednesday at Dixon High school in Sneads Ferry. All are welcome. Please come honor Josh’s life with us.

I don’t even know how to put this into words but I’m going to try.

Today, Monday October 14, 2024, my 15 year old nephew Joshua Jacob Danner, left this world completely unexpectedly. There isn’t really a way to prepare for the loss of a loved one, especially one who is still a child, but the loss of our sweet boy was so sudden and without warning.

Josh was my sister’s first baby. He was the oldest brother to Lily, Nick, Percy, and Baby Alice whom my sister and her husband just lost in August. He was one of my son Brayden’s first best friends. He was into creating music and playing football. He was loved and adored and his loss has rocked our entire family to its core.

My sister and her husband will need help with the cost of medical bills, autopsy, the cost of a service and cremation of my nephew as well as any loss of income while they grieve. Anything you can contribute is greatly appreciated. This is a tragedy no parent should ever have to endure, but to have to say goodbye to two children in just 2 months is beyond any words I can come up with.

Forever has a completely different meaning on this side of things. We will miss you for the rest of forever Joshy
