On September 6, 2025, our family’s world was shattered when Jerry Diaz, Jr., just 24 years old, was tragically taken from us by a drunk driver. Jerry was a son, grandson, cousin, friend, boyfriend, dog father—but most importantly a proud big brother to Alex, 22, and Nicholas, 10. Jerry embraced life and truly lived it to the fullest. Riding was his passion. It brought him freedom, joy, and pure happiness. When he was on his bike, he wasn’t just riding—he was doing what he loved most. And he wasn’t just passionate, he was incredibly talented. Jerry was the perfect mix of cool and kind. Handsome, funny, loyal and full of life, with a gentle heart and an easygoing nature. He loved his family and friends deeply, and in return, everyone who knew him loved him right back.
One of our favorite memories was at Nanny’s annual birthday dinner. Jerry, with that huge, contagious smile, decided to “bling out” Nanny by draping his diamond “JR” chain around her neck. Of course, the cousins quickly followed, adding their jewelry too. In true Jerry fashion, he turned a simple moment into one of laughter, love, and a memory we’ll hold in our hearts forever. For someone so young, Jerry experienced more joy and thrill in his 24 years than many do in a lifetime. He lived fully, loved deeply, and inspired everyone around him to do the same.
As we face the unimaginable pain of this loss, we want to honor Jerry’s beautiful life and spirit. In lieu of flowers, we’ve created this page to help our family make a donation in Jerry’s name—a lasting tribute to the love and light he brought into this world. We are so grateful for the outpouring of support, love, and prayers we’ve received during this heartbreaking time. Jerry will forever be remembered for his passion, his laughter, and his enormous heart. We love you, Jerry. Keep riding, brotha #LIhitta—until we meet again.
