Honoring Eva “BigMomma” Gonzalez

On the evening of August 13, our family lost Eva Gonzalez, lovingly known as BigMomma. Eva was a devoted mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she met. She cherished every moment spent with her children and granddaughter, especially during family gatherings filled with laughter and love. Watching her granddaughter play softball and listening to her daughter DJVAL her favorite songs were some of her greatest joys. Eva’s caring spirit extended beyond her family—she was always there for her friends, offering support and love whenever it was needed most.

This loss was completely unexpected, and our family is heartbroken as we try to honor Eva’s memory. We are raising funds to help cover the costs of her funeral services, so we can give her the farewell she deserves. Her daughter, Valerie Rivas, will be handling the funds and making arrangements on behalf of the family. We are deeply grateful for every prayer, message, and act of kindness during this difficult time. As Sindy shared, “love you always, wildflower”—a reminder of the love that will always surround Eva.
